Pipe Joint Test Plug

The Joint Test Plug is a test apparatus used in pipelines to perform a leak-tightness test only on the joint (connection area) instead of the entire line. The body placed inside the pipe creates a leak-tight partition on both sides of the joint; the test pressure is applied only to this narrow area. The maximum working pressure is 2.5 bar.

Application Area

It is used for checking joints individually during or after installation in wastewater, stormwater, and transmission lines. Since testing can be performed without filling the entire line, it saves water and time. Options are available for nominal sizes between 100 mm and 3000 mm.

Technical Usage Notes

• The test area should be positioned so as to cover the joint from both sides.
• The maximum working pressure of 2.5 bar must not be exceeded.
• The inner surface of the pipe should be clean in the seal areas.
• During the test, the pressure drop should be monitored from the indicator.
