The Manhole Test Plug is a large-diameter, short-bodied test plug designed for closing manhole and inspection chamber openings and for performing leak-tightness tests on these structures. Thanks to its short body, it is easily placed at the chamber opening; depending on the size, options are available with 2 x 1/4" or 2" by-pass connections. The maximum operating pressure is 1.5 bar.
Application Area
It is used in water or air leak-tightness tests of newly constructed or rehabilitated manholes, and for temporarily closing chamber openings during maintenance. Options are available for openings between 600 mm and 1050 mm.Technical Usage Notes
- The plug should be used in structures where the opening is between the minimum–maximum dimensions in the table.
- The maximum operating pressure of 1.5 bar must not be exceeded.
- Sharp protrusions on the inner surface of the chamber should be removed before installation.
- Do not work on the plug under pressure during the test.
