The Air Test Adapter is a test adapter attached to the by-pass connection of the test plug in air leak-tightness tests performed on pipelines, and is used together with a hose and pressure gauge. One outlet can be used to supply air to the line, and the other to monitor pressure.
Application Area
Air pressure testing in sewer and stormwater lines is used in acceptance and inspection tests such as maintaining the line at a certain pressure and monitoring pressure drop. Options are available for connection threads from 1/4" to 6".Usage Notes
- The adapter connection thread should be selected the same as the by-pass diameter of the test plug.
- The test pressure must not exceed the value permitted by the line and the plug.
- Before testing, it should be checked whether there is any leakage in the connections.
- The gauge should be protected against impacts.
