Protective Sleeve

The Protective Sleeve is a sleeve used to protect the outer surface of test and plugging plugs against rough, worn, or sharp-edged surfaces inside the pipe. It is fitted over the plug to reduce the risk of cuts and punctures that may occur during inflation; thanks to its carrying rings, it is easy to transport.

Application Area

It is used to extend the service life of plugs in old, corroded, or internally damaged pipes and channels; in concrete, cast, and uneven-surfaced lines. Options are available for plug sizes between 50 – 100 mm and 600 – 1200 mm.

Usage Notes

• The sleeve size should be selected to match the size of the plug used.
• The sleeve should be fitted over the plug without wrinkles and centered.
• After use, the sleeve should be cleaned and dried.
• A torn or worn sleeve should not be used.
